How to Stop Apps from Opening on Startup in Windows

As you may know some pesky apps automatically open when you start your pc and it really hurts performance. While sometimes the apps are very light some heavier apps may lower some fps while you are playing Fortnite or whatever the hell you play. The process of stopping startup apps is short and very easy to do, even your grandma can do it! Before anything make sure you are using windows 7,10 or 11, because if you are using windows xp I think you have bigger problems to deal with. Anyways let's start on the tutorial.

1. Open Task Manager

That's right, you have to open Task Manager, and to do that you have to press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to open Task Manager.

That's it for this step. I'm serious.

2. Open Startup Apps

Now that you opened Task Manager. You will see a tab called Startup apps, click it. Viola! You opened the tab!

To the next step and beyond!

3. Disabling The Apps

So, this is the juicy part. Right-click any app with the word Enabled beside it, an option called Disable will appear, and guess what? You press it. Always make sure the apps are apps you don't need to automatically start. Which. In most cases. You don't need them to open in startup, but just in case check the apps.

4. Restart Your System

I have to admit this part isn't this necessary, because you could just restart it anytime, but if you want to see the effects immediately, restart your pc. I don't think you need to know how to restart your pc, I hope so.

Conclusion

So that's it. You can now play your favorite game with more fps, and if you found this tutorial helpful, please check more performance related tutorials in BliggyBloogs. Now tell me in the comments did you find this helpful, or you did not find this helpful?
